You mean the South, where black people were lived as slaves before they counted as a full person? Please tell me how that is better than excluding someone from living here. Seriously, this keeps coming up. How is that better in your opinion?

if you think portland is bigoted, you should really try living in chicago or boston for a bit. it would give you a whole new outlook.
