This is actually a fantastic idea.

I've determined that while all Oregonians have taken to complaining about transplants, Washington is the real horror show. Traffic is shit the entire state, I mean Vancouver all the way up to the border, complete shit, all hours of the day. It's so bad, it even creeps into the neighboring areas (PDX, Vancouver BC). Washington should just have a wall built around it and should sustain itself.

Fantastic idea. Slow the bridges down even more,,,so you can live care free and convenient in your new NE house.

@ oigetitman, exactly what I thought. That said, a photo system could be implemented. You purchase a sticker that goes in your window and a radar snaps it. They do it in New Orleans.

You DO realize that most, if not ALL of those Washintonians crossing the bridge are coming to work. Work where they are paid, and summarily dinged for 10% of their income for your glorious income tax. And of that 10% tax they get very little in return.

I never thought I'd say this, but I support a toll.

It's against federal law to toll only one state along a border. It's deemed discriminatory. I wouldn't mind having a toll for both sides though. Would kind of being sticking it to WA, but also kind of sticking it to OR. Whoever is crossing the most, that's who'd get it in the rear.
