In my family growing up we had a rule, you don't work, you don't eat. Sounds harsh, but it tought me to contribute at the least, but mostly it tought us 6 kids self sufficiency.

I have a soft spot for women and children and especially women with children I see living on the streets or begging. Sometimes I feel compassion and empathy towards homeless in general and buy some 5 dollar pizzas and sodas from little ceasars and pass them out downtown.

Other times I feel angry and disgusted by homeless people. Mainly when I can tell they high as fuck and are not willing to get help for themselves.

I'm torn by the housing first model of dealing as I think it's more effective than other models, but people who aren't willing to change or work shouldn't get a free pass and a leg up if they don't actually value it as a means to get themselves out of that life.

I was wondering who stole all my goddamn quotation marks, IA. In this one sentence--Then there's the "world owes me and someone else is to blame" and "do absolutely nothing, but still take pity on my life and feel sorry for me attitude."--you used four pairs, and no one has ever in their fucking lives said either of those things!

When I make quotation mark gestures, instead of using 2 fingers, I use 3 fingers.
Instead of the normal 2 finger peace sign, I use 3 fingers then too.
I don't know. I'm crazy and off the cuff. I know.
I can't think of the last time I flipped someone the bird.
OMG! The bird!
