The mayor is wrong, plain and simple. But, let us not forget who first created "Free Speech Zones"... Ol' Republican Dubya Bush.

I call all Republicans the "alt-right" now because I still haven't heard any of them denounce the president's anti-Muslim/anti-immigrant rhetoric during the campaign. The president and his sheep have also yet to denounce the support he received from the KKK and white nationalists like David Duke and Nazi Richard Spencer... as well as appointing Stephen Bannon to his cabinet. Then there was the admittance of sexually assaulting numerous women while the ALT-RIGHT (his supporters) simply discounted it as "locker room talk."

Right-wing media outlets, as well as the right-wing online commenters are all attempting to distance themselves from Jeremy Christian's extreme right-wing views. Although they use what he posted (he at one time liked Bernie) to reinforce their "argument," they discount 99% of the others things he posted and publicly expressed that align perfectly with the right-wing party. You can't have it both ways.

So, yeah, mayor's wrong and all that, but you right-wingers have a lot of explaining to do and until that day comes, you will be addressed as the "alt-right."

It would be a lot harder to counter the "any Trump supporter, Republican, or conservative is every vile thing under the Sun" narrative if they weren't working so fucking hard to prove it's true.

However, all of the spewing of hate that lot of commenters put forth sound a lot like the anarchists and ugly mobs that rioted in Washington and in California. Does that mean that all of the commenters are anarchists because they are not denouncing all of these ugly events? Is this a double standard?

Just a heads up.... the organizers of the event openly self-identify as members of the Neo-Nazi/'alt-right' movement.

I/A, the Mayor knew he did not have the right to pull the permit. Yada,Yada,Yada. Just a reminder of how history repeats itself. When General Eisenhower liberated Ohrdruf concentration camp in Germany, he ordered all the citizens of the town nearby to witness the remains of the horror of hate. Some were still alive, the dead were covered with lime to retard the decay.
Do you give a f--- about that sort of thing? I do not understand how people keep pleading for the rights of murderers when we know racism is so rampant all over our country. The KKK, Alt Right and White Supremist are like Nazis. Just don't forget your history.
