That's usually what you get when you go to family-owned establishments. Someone is always dropping in from down the street or out of town to ask about the kids or someone's recent marriage. There isn't some assistant store manager hovering over their shoulders ready to dock their pay at a moments notice. It's family hanging around family so they'll always end up chatting. It's probably harder to manage a business full of relatives. Imagine having to tell your niece or nephew that you have to dock their pay.
