The worst part is that it'll probably never stop. The PPD is going to continue being overbooked and understaffed like it was this year and last year. People know that the cops won't be able to get to them in time so they do it anyway. I wouldn't care about some firecrackers in their driveways or you know, anything remotely legal but what's with the assholes setting off cherry bombs in residential areas? As you said, a lot of people have sleeping kids and pets. Nothing more American than screwing over your fellow man with the excuse that you're celebrating something.
