No, honestly -- the situation is as described: nondescript car was well-parked in a legal spot. That's why I asked What the Fuck??? For many years, I have driven with Santa as a passenger, and I also have ridden shotgun with Santa as a driver. I have no reason to believe that Santa suddenly changed his spots as a driver and a parker. It's interesting that Badluckpalms PRESUMES that Santa was rude or that somehow the vandal KNEW that I, the absent owner of the car, DESERVED this treatment owing to defects of character that could be telepathically divined. I am no angel, but I am no Trump voter. I have been driving since 1967 in a careful and courteous manner with no tickets, no accidents, and every intention of arriving home in one piece. I have good will toward bicycles, wheelchairs, pedestrians, and other cars because the stakes are high. I saw the driver education films. Badluckpalms, are you confessing that you key cars of people whom you suspect to be uncool? I also widened my query to ask about the vandals who feel empowered to smash windows and slash tires OF COMPLETE STRANGERS. What the Fuck? WHY??? Be specific.

Also, Badluckpalms -- where did a concierge enter into this story? The car was legally parked on the street by a legal driver (Santa) who was out on the town for Burger Week in SE Portland.

Oh thank you R.A.Y., I was wondering why people were so mean to people who have been hurt or down on their luck on this blog. I have read responses to entries that reminded me of wolves tearing the guts out of people who were baring their souls like their bellies. This lady wasn't baring her soul nor do I think she's guilty of anything to do with getting her car scratched. She was a victim of a nasty act. Whoever did it was acting out and she was a victim. She doesn't need to be victimized again. JERK!
