I saw that episode - they were making fun of large groups of riders revving their engines loudly while riding through quiet towns. This point isn't very accurate when you consider that there are more people with loud cars than people with loud motorcycles. In fact, there aren't even that many people on motorcycles in this country in general. I believe it's because of the cultural ignorance surrounding motorcycle safety. I know there are a few idiots out there flying down the road on their Ninja but, not only are they not representative of the rest of us, but it's a statistical certainty that there are more idiots behind the wheel of a car than on motorcycles (idiots behind the wheel of a car live longer than those on motorcycles anyway). In any case, there is no excuse for disrespecting another person's right to use the road... We all pay for it.

By the way, anyone who thinks that the US government (motorcycles are a respected form of transportation everywhere else I've been) should CONTINUE to make anti motorcycle laws is a fascist. Ironically the same people probably consider themselves as antifa...

Actually, the US government makes laws that counteract motorcycle safety largely as a result of the aforementioned cultural ignorance. Politicians want to gain more support so they make laws that are inconvenient to the minority in order to keep the majority happy - the majority (as well as the politicians) being people who don't ride motorcycles and thus don't understand motorcycle safety.

BadLuck,

I believe I made the same point already - that there are idiots in all types of vehicles. My problem is that I don't have road-ragers literally trying to run me off the road, rear end me or generally having a fit when I'm in the car but, the second I get on the motorcycle, I become public enemy #1 by default. True story...

Maybe just stop driving everywhere instead of bitching about road rage anonymously. Maybe take weekend trips with your motorcycle if you enjoy the open road. This is legitimately the least proactive platform to expound your complaints. Do you expect these dirtbags to read your points and go "Hmm they're right, I'll start being kinder to people"? Nope, they're just going to invent excuses for their behavior and/or call you poor.

I don't live in the city so thanks for your advice but no thanks. Also, this is a great place to vent so don't know what you're on about. And who knows - someone might actually gain some insight having never been on a motorcycle before... It's been known to happen.

I'll never understand people who get so worked up about people who get so worked up about driving.

Please wait...
