It would appear in the day and age of alternative facts, that neither side is playing fair anymore, and that is a shame. With so many outright lies being told by our fearless leader, one would hope that the very journalists tasked with calling out the administration, it's cronies and it's supporters for their bullshit would do their very finest to adhere to the highest journalistic standards, but alas, that isn't the case. I guess both sides would rather just ignore facts they don't like in order to push the narrative they believe to be true.
Take for instance the fact that a good law abiding citizen was stabbed 17 times over Memorial Day weekend by a homeless person isn't even reported by The Mercury or The Oregonian. I guess that doesn't fit into the narrative that these are the "most vulnerable" members of society, so let's just ignore it. We all know damn well that if the situation was reversed and a regular Joe had stabbed a homeless person, these very same people would be crying out for blood.
Can't have it both ways. And if we all want to have meaningful and honest discussions about society's problems and how to fix them, you have to start by having all the facts...whether you like them or not.
