Oh we are fucked beyond belief. If the poisoning of the air/water/land and disease does not kill us off first, we will die drowning in our garbage. China is now refusing all "recyclables" from the United States, which they bought and repurposed for years. Oregon is now burying your recycling in land fills (but still demanding you "recycle" and charging fines if you don't). What will happen when all available land in this country has been filled? I mean New York has been floating barges of garbage out into the ocean for decades now. Human beings are the only animals that "foul their own nest" and we are literally going to destroy the earth and every living creature along with it. But we're the smartest beings on earth, supposedly (NOT by a long shot). We are also the only animals that harm their own for sport and pleasure and/or out of hatred. We are sick animals and if mother nature takes us all out before we destroy this planet that will be the best thing that ever happens. We should have had our extinction event centuries ago.
