I can understand why people don't want to compare this to Nazi Germany, I mean how many times have the Republicans used that analogy in the past when describing things like health care for all and so many other things that have nothing to do with the extermination of millions of human lives.

This time it happens to be true.

They ARE killing people. When you take a child away from their parent, do not record any documentation regarding the child (name, sex, age, who their parent is, what they look like, etc.) and you never return with them, what do you think is happening?

There is no way to know where these children are being taken or what is being done to them AND THE PEOPLE DOING IT REFUSE TO ALLOW ANYONE TO SEE THE CHILDREN. Where are the girls? Where are the babies? There are already reports of parents killing themselves when their children have been taken from them. What do you think happens to a baby or a toddler or a young child, ripped away from their parents and kept in a cage (if they're actually even put there) and left to just sit there and rot? What do you think happens to a child when the people taking them away from their parents do not write down their names, who their parents are, their age/sex/physical characteristics/etc. and then cannot answer what was done with them when they are asked? WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THESE CHILDREN? ARE THEY BEING SOLD? MURDERED? THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW AND THAT SHOULD CHILL YOU TO THE FUCKING BONE.

Please tell me where you believe the thousands of children our government cannot account for have gone? These children are being disappeared - their identities eradicated and any ability to be reunited with the parents they are being taken from destroyed.

You are right in that they are not like the Nazi concentration camps in that the Nazis kept impeccable records on every human life they took - names, birth dates, parents, ages, physical characteristics, what was done to them in the camps, and how they died. Our government, committing war crimes and human rights violations in our country, in so-called peace time, can't be bothered with all that. It's SO MUCH EASIER TO DENY WHAT YOU ARE DOING WHEN THERE IS NO PAPER TRAIL.

If you think what is happening here, under our wannabe dictator and his insane fucking minions, is not comparable to what happened in Nazi Germany, you need to read up on your history and see how things began. The wannabe dictator and his regime, they're just getting started.

What is happening to those children and their parents is not yet the same thing that happened to Jews in Nazi Germany (and it may not play out exactly the same way, as the wannabe dictator and his regime in this country are crueler and more sadistic). They are doing what they are doing not only to people coming into this country, they are doing it knowing full well there are millions of Americans who LOOK JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE THEY ARE DOING THIS TO and millions of Americans who are BEING TERRORIZED BY ICE AND BORDER PATROL AND THE POLICE ON A DAILY BASIS.

Do you really believe this isn't about white supremacist rage and violence against the people of THIS country in addition to the people coming into this country?

Denial is so strong in so many people in this country who refuse to see what is really happening.
I truly cannot comprehend in any way, under any circumstances, the continued rationalization of how this is acceptable and not a big deal.

EP this is not embellishment. What we see on TV is the tip of the iceberg and that is horrible enough. I agree with CR in that there are far too many parallels to Nazi Germany to ignore. The most notable is when the United States turned away thousands of asylum-seekers and sent them back to their certain deaths. Oh and that little thing about the Japanese internment camps. And never forget that the United States caused or exacerbated many of the problems these people are running away from with it's policies of forced regime change, economic warfare and government corruption.
