Toothpicks?

Good call to edit out the sentence about how you took several years and multiple acid trips before settling on the Sanskrit symbol for "Om" on the back of your neck.

One thing I've learned by studying hermeneutics is how little "meanings" mean. Not everything needs to have ten layers of intention behind it. Pretty is good enough.

50 years ago i got a tattoo of a soaring eagle on my chest. today it looks like a lump of play-doh.

Regardless of your opinion of tattoos, people do it. It used to be taboo and now it is quite prevalent. Professionals in many different facets of different professional workforces have tattoos. It has become more accepted. You have the choice to do it or not do it. You also have the choice to just accept people having them and you don't necessarily need to understand the meaning of their tattoos. If you ask them they usually will share. If you don't understand the meaning or reason, that is okay, but please don't place judgement. Yes, most become somewhat blob-like over 20 years. I speak from experience. Mine are all in places nobody sees but I also think about having some removed.

At this point, doesn't your ENTIRE body look like a lump of playdough?
