Sunday fucking afternoon on October 28, my partner and I were subjected to seeing a man obviously masturbating in the produce section with his hand down his pants staring directly at passing women— even walking up and maintaining eye contact with a horrified pregnant woman. When speaking with two employees they advised us they would call security and handle it, but they did absolutely nothing as we saw him later walking around the store. Even after speaking with the manager, we were told they couldn't ask him to leave because he didn't pull his d*ck out (for those creepy turd-minded ass hats who are interpreting this as a loophole, it's not, fully expect that Portlanders will publicly call you out on your disgusting behavior and that it can easily get back to your family or place of work). Also, the icing on the fucking top of this shit cake mountain, he adds that, after all, this is the Powell and 82nd store what do we expect? We expect that women can shop for their god damn groceries without being used as nonconsensual public pornography. We expected at the very least a better response by WinCo management for their inability to protect their customers. We expect better.
