You know, intellectually, that everyone's poop can be smelly sometimes, and that if they happen to eat a lot, or not poop for a while, their poops can be "massive", and that anyone can forget to use the toilet brush. And you know that if your lovers are clean and considerate, you're unlikely to encounter their poop while performing oral sex on them. Recognizing that this issue isn't rational, and recognizing that it's your deal, is the first step in moving beyond it. It could be that cognitive therapy (counseling) could help you overcome this particular phobia, or you may have broader issues that point to compulsiveness or other issues that respond well to medication. Good luck...remember, everybody poops!

Quite a compulsive quirk you got there, but not the worst I've seen. Too bad about your former partner who was otherwise almost perfect, if only they had known about the benefits of fiber (or checking the fucking bowl before you leave the bathroom, WTF?)! I do think you should consider therapy if you're literally thinking about everybody's poop constantly. That can't be healthy.

I congratulate you on owning this. But as long as this continues to be "your deal", you owe it to prospective partners to be fairly upfront about it and let them know that this is an issue/deal-breaker for you. Tell them that healthy poops are a must for you and ask them to rate themselves on a scale of 1 to 10. Also, before you throw away another human being over this hang up, consider working with someone who is otherwise awesome to educate them on taking good care of their bowels.

That'll be $500 for the advice.

"You know what I wish I could do? Ask potential dates about their bowel movements."

You can do this. It will quickly eliminate anyone not willing to date you (save everyone time, money, energy, and emotional investment) and when you find the person who is willing to answer your questions about their bowel movements (are you willing to answer questions about yours?) you will both have found (possibly) a compatible mate!

I expect a must have is an apartment or home with at least two or more bathrooms.
