There I was, at 6 foot 2 inches, remodeling your floor in another basement that is challenging for those over 6 foot. And yet again, another job where I would inevitably smack my head against things, no matter how much body awareness I can muster. On this job though, I made a direct hit on a metal corner of a heating duct. Subsequently, as any ill-tempered contractor would, I yelled "FUCK!". Actually, I took a second to considered who was around (which I thought was no one) before I yelled it. I exited the house to walk it off. Lo and behold, to my surprise, you, the home owner, appeared from the house which I thought was empty because the entire house was being redone. I explained myself and apologized. You seemed to sincerely care and understand. We talked, had a laugh and I went to continue my work.

The next day, the general contractor came to answer a question of mine. We talked in a jovial manner and then he admitted that my incident from the day prior was reported to him. You should have just looked at me scornfully through the window the day before than to have come outside with a false sense of concern. Thanks for deeming me worthy of being reported even after apologizing and clearing things up.

Hey lady, do you know that feeling of hitting your head so hard it sends a lighting bolt down your spine? Awww, did the curse word hurt your ears?! Give me a break. I'm down in your cramped basement in the dust working with toxic chemicals while smacking my head against things. The job sucks. Have some empathy especially since you're a hypnotherapist.
