Fill up your world with petty little judgements. Why so insecure?

2

You want to be an anonymous bigot over east west geography? Not much better than a pointy white cap.

Latitude is attitude.

Northern latitudes tend to wear dark earth colors. Southern latitudes tend to have more vibrant colors.

Northern latitudes have pub cultures. Southern latitudes go sit on a beach with a bucket.

Northern latitudes tend to build tight urban areas leaving a lot of nature. Southern latitudes tend to have a lot of sprawl.

When there's a West Coast Exit (Wecexit?) We'll stand with the PCC. But, something we have in common with New Yorkers and New Englanders is we can look to our respective southern transplants and say:

“Ah you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!”

Jesus "Christ"!!! Read any good books lately? Have you neither imagination nor sense of proportion? Can you detect city of origin with a superpower (a relatively useless superpower)? This tedious sorting of OK/not OK -- it's foolproof, right? Life-enhancing?

4, Portlanders were born in darkness? LOL, ask our Alaskan transplants about that sometime during mid-winter...

There are transplants from everywhere. California is simply an easy shorthand, and the fun part is that they care approximately zero percent, give or take, about the criticisms of Portlanders, which makes Portlanders all that more adorably furious. I'll take one ambitious, friendly, intelligent transplant over dozens of xenophobic, entitled "native" Portlanders any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

This is pretty amusing. Being a born and bred New Yorker and having lived the first 30 years of my life on the east coast, I'll take an east coaster any day of the week over a west coast passive aggressive.

There are things I love about both coasts ~ good and bad on each side ~ and assholes everywhere you go, no matter where you live.

I will live out my life here on the Oregon coast, by the Pacific ocean, and never have to deal with the cold and snow of the northeast ever again.

We all make choices in our lives. If you don't like where you live, move somewhere else.

Never in the history of the world has complaining about people you don't like ever made THEM change. And I guarantee you anyone who moved to Portland from New York (and I truly doubt there are lots of them) does not give one fuck about what you think.

A lot of "Californians" coming to Oregon are originally east coasters who moved to California years ago.
