Both want to return to an idealized vision of an earlier, simpler time.
Followers of both groups believe their leaders are ordained by God.
Both groups believe that violence is acceptable if it accomplishes their political goal.
Both groups seek out and follow authoritarian figures.
Both have an almost sexual-fetish with weapons.
Both groups have generated shooting sprees, bombings, and a wide variety of plots and conspiracies.
Both seek to recruit people to their own side through creating narratives of fear, hate, and resentment, of ‘us and them’.

The similarities go on and on...
