I really don't understand people. is it really so hard to find a place that sells and/or serves food that you can eat? It's not like Portland doesn't have tons of places that serve gluten free food. I'm with the OP, it's not their job to change their business to meet your needs, it's your job to find the businesses that cater to your needs.

observant jews go to kosher restaurants. muslims to halal. hindus avoid restaurants that serve beef. can't gluten avoiders do the same?

My sister is a naturopathic doctor. What most people don't realize is that naturopaths go through the same medical school as doctors. My sister went to four years of Premed, four years of medical, and two additional years to earn her ND. So she went to 10 YEARS of school after graduating high school. She has all the diagnostic capabilities of a medical doctor with the additional benefit of centuries of pre-modern medical wisdom, including Chinese medicine which draws from 5000 years of experience. She has all the resources of a modern medical doctor, and she sure as fuck don't read tea leaves.
