And people wonder why Oregon bar patrons see that "No Minors" sign and breathe a sigh of relief. The well-worn refrain from parents is that society is stacked against people with children and that restaurants, bars, brewpubs, etc., should be common spaces where the village raises its children. That would be great... if that's how parents used those spaces. Instead, parents walk through the door, order their cheap rose/margarita of choice and flick the parental off switch while their children go free range. If you want to go to a restaurant as a parent, that shouldn't be an issue. However, if you use that outing to effectively stop parenting, the village is going to let you know about it.
