Throughout our entire existence, humans have adapted to deal with scarcity and competition for resources. But what was once necessary for survival now represents the greatest threat to that survival. It's sad to see our society clinging to the very things that will inevitably destroy it.

Here’s a spiritual/philosophical take for you:
God exists. God is all that there is. God is everything. But to have some fun and stave off eternal boredom, God divided himself up in to smaller pieces and let’s those pieces interact with each other. Those pieces forget that they are all really one thing. So sometimes they compete against each other and do bad things to each other.

Humans are animals and despite believing they are superior to all other animals, they will destroy the planet and every living thing on it, including themselves. The only unknown is how long it will take.
