Dearest Portland neighborhood runners. This morning after encountering several people running in the roadway, making it really difficult to proceed safely on my bicycle, I decided to look up the laws on what your responsibilities are as runners. Not only did I find out that it's flat out illegal to be a pedestrian moving in the roadway when there's a usable sidewalk, it's also illegal for you to take up half of said roadway and not yield to vehicles. If you're going to do this blatantly illegal shit please do two things, firstly run AGAINST traffic so you can actually see when vehicles are coming and fucking move and second actually fucking move to let cyclists and cars get by without almost clipping you. I get that you paid a lot for your quiet neighborhood home but you definitely don't own the street too. Thanks!
