It had already been a truly shitty day, and on my bike ride home I saw a man collapsed in a crosswalk in the middle of Belmont during rush hour. I stopped to ask how I could help, he just wanted me to get him upright. I got caught in a philosophical farce of trying to keep my bike from falling over while also trying to help. Two of you stopped and picked him up in the meantime. Thank you both for caring, treating him like a human as others drove past, waiting for the ambulance and getting him a chair and water. Thank you to the bus driver for stopping and asking if you could help. To the man in the road, I hope you're okay. You all gave me hope.
