Everyday when I work at a grocery store, every single coworker that I see in the breakroom, coming from working out on the floor, going to a break, finishing break, going to lunch, after eating lunch, then going home, not a single soul do I see washing their hands. None of us are directly handling food, but some coworkers are cashiers handling money and cards, touching registers, touching products, managers touching keyboards, then going to eat. Pandemic aside, it's fucking gross trying to clock in and out. I started trying to use my fingernails. I'm sure this is commonplace everywhere. People are gross.
Time to eat.
Did you wash your hands?
Nope.
There's a pandemic going on.
Did you wash your hands?
I was so hungry I didn't have time.
