If cops want us to believe they are patriots, they should push back against Trump invoking "the blue flag of America" in his post praising Aaron Danielson, who was shot by another white guy in Portland. The United States has only one flag, the last time I checked, the one that flies over Arlington, the Capitol, and for which symbol our soldiers died in wars from WWI to Iraq and Afghanistan. Or do cops put their blue lives matter flag above the one that unites us in the face of any threat from other nations? Will cops honor our flag and the Constitution when Trump loses this election, or will they, in Trump's words, be his "friends with guns"?
