I hate seeing PDX getting torn apart, night after night. It's to the point where nobody is right and nothing is being "solved".

But at the same time, a large part of me is hoping that these protests/riots/pandemic will drive away the out of state investors who have been slicing PDX up, destroying neighborhoods and that PDX will return to what it was 20 years ago before any of them showed up.

Sorry kids, but I miss the PDX that had affordable housing and jobs that paid living wages. The hospitality industry seems to have crashed. Next will be the luxury condos springing up in very non-luxurious PDX. Some projects will fail, and become half built eyesores. Others will never sell enough units to break even, and will eventually become low cost housing provided by the city after the owners/investors walk away from the tax bills.
