No porch light on, do not answer the door. It's not that hard. Did it for a decade when we lived in upstate NY. No one ever bothered the house and I doubt anyone gave a rat's ass. Anyone trick or treating in this day and age (and I'm not even talking about during a pandemic) is an idiot. Period.
