Yes, the POLICE need to be more respectful, and a pay cut so they'll work harder, then get new cars for them to solve crimes, oh, and defund them as well. And as you say, if crime goes up, boo hoo. Ask New Yorkers how thats working out for them, and Philadelphia as well. I love how people get mad when someone disrespects them, respect isn't a birthright, its something you work for and earn. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Look how people treat police, these same police that will still come to your home to help you, while they get spit at. Do some homework and you'll see that 90% of these "innocent" victims would still be alive had they simply cooperated with police. Michael Brown never put his hands up and said please don't shoot as people like to believe, but he robbed a store, threatened the store owner, ignored police, didnt do what they said and came at the cop so he got shot. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. George Floyd drove to the store drunk and high on meth, passed counterfeit money, and was going to drive off when police got there, that's 3 felony's already, refused to get out of the car, ignored police warnings several times, was dragged out of car, threw himself on the ground so they couldn't get him in the police car, was pinned to the ground and died. His fault. Wouldn't have happened if he just cooperated with police. Sooner or later these people have to take some responsibility for their actions that lead to these shootings, but I understand its easier to watch snippets on the news and only hear unarmed man killed. People like you would be the first ones crying if some family member was raped or murdered and cop told you nicely that a counselor would be out to see you because they don't have the time or money to look into it for about 6 months. Anyone who bitches about police should sign a form saying you don't want police to help you, that way people who do respect and appreciate the fact they are willing to be killed trying to save you can get their help easier. Be respectful get respect back. You should try it.
