Probably the same assholes who are breaking windows and destroying property in Portland.

There are a lot of assumptions in your little rant.

Even if you are 100% correct, the real problem is wealth inequality (mixed with toxic entitlement) in this country. And the people robbing you and everyone else blind are the ones with the most power, not a group of boys hanging out by any store robbing $10K worth of merchandise. More security/cops/police protecting property and wealth of the few from others is not the answer. It never will be. The ONLY thing that will improve society as a whole is true equality - of wealth, health, opportunity, access, employment, education, housing, mobility, technology, etc. (this is not even remotely a comprehensive list). All of that requires policy changes from the top down and since it's those at the top robbing us all blind, that policy change is not coming anytime soon.

During this pandemic the wealthiest people in this country have increased their wealth by TRILLIONS (Jeff Bezos alone has increased his personal wealth by $71 BILLION). And McConnell and Trump and the GOP sit around and do nothing but collect their paychecks ($175,000/yr if in Congress and $400,000/yr for Trump - who has never proven he is "giving away" his paycheck - and even if he is has spent nearly $1 BILLION in taxpayer dollars on GOLFING alone!) doing nothing to help the people of this country. (They also outright stole $500 BILLION from the stimulus package and Trump's Munchkin is working to "hide" nearly as much - over $475 BILLION from Biden - so that he cannot dole it out to anyone without Congressional approval and unless the Senate goes Blue with the 2 senators in GA, there will be no doling out of any money with McConnell still in charge).

Meanwhile other countries have given their citizens far more in financial assistance during the pandemic than the United States.

Imagine if you made the same argument about domestic abuse.

"The problem is not the savage beating of another human being. The problem is the pressures applied by economic inequality on the modem family leading to intra familial stress. Blah blah blah."

Just imagine yourself explaining this to the person with two black eyes, a broken orbital bone and nose, and who is now homeless because "now is not the time to talk or work on that" so the perpetrator still lives in the same home.

So many assumptions! If I say I have been a victim of a violent crime does that make my statement more valid? I have no interest in proving either way what I have experienced in my life to support or deny your assumptions about me (or my family or my friends or anyone I may know).

Fascinating how people in this country will defend without question things about which they obviously know nothing. For example: property crime and violent crime are not the same. They are not considered the same by law enforcement either. So, not opinion, fact.

And we have ALL been robbed (and are still being robbed every day given the policies in place) in the ways I mentioned and that theft, that harm, that damage cannot be protected by more police or security guards.

Biggest example: Experian (credit monitoring company) had a data breach in which every single person in this country with a social security number and a credit history, their information was compromised. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. But hey, the government still uses Experian and never punished them or sanctioned them and the class action lawsuit against them has gone where? Oh right, nowhere (how do I know? I am one of the plaintiffs).

So many white people care so much about property and wealth being protected (even if they have no property and no wealth) and yet give no fucks about life.

Justify your beliefs with whatever rationalization you choose. Denial is deep seated in this country. It's worn like a badge of honor. Just ask the people dying of COVID who are denying its existence as they take their last breaths and die.

Can't fix stupid. And apparently there is no bottom when it comes stupidity, especially in this country. AmeriKKKa, FUCK YEAH!
