This is not about me but something I overheard between two coworkers and likely deduced who they were talking about. Moreover it wouldn't be about me because I'm not it, but also these coworkers would never ever do it in front of the actual person that's why it was overheard. Seriously, you don't think others can hear you talking? I've learned through playing music someone is always listening though it might appear not.
So I heard snippets of "what was the topic of food today. I don't get how he is so big at his age. I mean who eats frozen hot pockets and burritos. Yea, I don't get it man." On and on they went. The whispers. Putting down behind his back.
Then I thought back to the other day when I saw one of these culprits sitting across the topic of discussion person at the lunch table. Looking back, that was not a friendly visit. That was one of judgements and ridicule.
People are so cruel to other people struggling with weight. Do not be so mean. And if you have to be, have the courage to say it to the person you're putting down.
