I'm 31 now, so I remember back in 2007 to 2012 several area highschools and school building being closed down due to funding. Thinking about that now, if those buildings weren't closed, we'd be able to provide smaller cohort class sizes right now so we can open schools after teachers have been vaccinated.
There is no advocacy of creating more building space, despite us being 18 months into school closures, while we have still funded our schools and provided additional aid packages.
Why have we not diverted funding to even erect yurt classrooms? Or to lease out additional structures to provide more classrooms?
I feel all this money while children have been forced to learn on computers, could be used to ensure we get kids back in the classroom (for families who want this option).
