I imagine a number of leftists think that the Capitol hill thing was funny or entertaining, but there is indeed a major difference between what happened here in Portland and the capitol siege. I might be biased, but what happened here was a lot of anarchists synergizing with the george floyd protests, because portland's like that.
however what happens in portland and whatever happened in washington is not at all equivalent to the right-wing shitstorm on the capitol since that had some deep fascist elements.
