You could tell I was beginning to isolate. You never thought twice when I said I would gladly look after your dogs, when you no longer could work from home. You knew I missed my dog and cat that both passed away at the beginning of the pandemic. I hadn’t given up on life or anything, I was in a funk and your pets brightened my day as I had something to look after while I worked from home. Best of all for my birthday this weekend, you all chipped in and got me a rescue puppy. Life has returned to my home, and the energy is contagious. Sure she decided my laptop was better than any of the chew toys, and I woke up and assessed the damage, and laughed. I haven’t laughed like that in a long time. I got to call into work and honestly say “the dog ate my computer!” So today, I get to shop for a new laptop (needed one anyway) and come home and cuddle up with her after a serious game of fetch and “blanket monster”. I can’t thank you enough! Now my home will be noisy and energetic with dogs making a ruckus as I continue to look after your pooches as mine gets socialized. Noises that will keep me smiling. Really, thank you so much!
