Pretty sure the OP doesn't know what a colonizer is or what Memorial Day is. But then it's everyone's right to be outraged for reasons that make no sense. Thanks to the colonizers we remember on Memorial Day.
On May 1, 1865, in Charleston, South Carolina, recently freed African-Americans held a parade of 10,000 people to honor 257 dead Union soldiers, whose remains they had reburied from a mass grave in a Confederate prison camp.

I think I know what you're saying OP.. This country, the colonizers, and the colonizers that formed it commited a holocaust against an entire race of people in order to steal their land. This is fact. But I can't get behind boycotting Memorial Day (maybe Thanksgiving, but not Memorial Day). Anyone who's ever fought in a war and done things like cross an airfield in battle during 110 degree weather with no water has my upmost respect regardless of which side they fought for (although it would be cool if we could extend this respect for those just beyond out own military imo) Plus, most people don't really give a second thought to what this holiday means and are just happy if they're lucky enough to get the day off work so there's that to your case. But still. I think it's important to honor veterans.
