I’m done

You don't have to be a recovering alcoholic to live the serenity prayer.

Let go of the things you can't control.

Be the best you possible.

Yes, take care of yourself!

When you take care of yourself, you then can take care of others. You have the strength, knowledge and wisdom to enact change, help those who actually need it, and be the example of what you wish others were doing.

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish. Taking care of yourself is how individuals thrive. It creates a place of personal power from within, and allows us to use that power for good. When we don't take care of ourselves first, we are just like you wrote. We're worn out, feel useless, and lose faith.

If you don't take care of yourself first, everything you do is like trying to bail out a rowboat with a shotglass as it sinks into the ocean.

Take care of yourself!
