It's nice to see some of you waking up this morning. Yes, many things happened while you were sleeping, but rather than focus on the feelings of missing out, or shame, or guilt, or other negative self-talk, focus on the fact that you are awake now and we have much to do today.

War is a scary thing. It's okay to be scared for what this war means.

I know you feel confused, I know you feel betrayed and like there is no one you can trust. If you are feeling those things, that is a sign of growth and awareness and you can trust yourself. It's comforting to know that you aren't the first person to go through this. There has always been others.

One things that I've always found comforting in these situations is the cold truths of objective reality. Refining your bullshit detector is absolutely key. And do you best to find someone who's been here before, it can take some time, but you'll find the helpers. (Hint: it helps to look outside of media and politics for real help with these things.)
