To the Kind:

I know how hard that was for you to do. Thank you. I can only imagined how long you wrestled with yourself over what to do. I know what you put on the table and risked to do the right thing. I can imagine how scary and anxious you must feel right now.

You are a good person.

There will be those who criticized you. There will be those who seek to demean and degrade you. Some will say you didn't do enough to stop things. Some will say you waited to long to do the right thing. Some may even question you current motives.

None of that matters to me. Everyone has their own journey and you are the only one who can truly examine those questions. What matters to me is that at the end of the day you did the right thing.

Being honest and open was the right thing to do. Lending aid to those experiencing hardship was the right thing to do.

I am extraordinarily grateful for your service. You words and actions have already had a significant impact in improving things and have played a role in encouraging others step up and do the right thing. This is a big thing that couldn't have been fully accomplished without you.

Your acts of kindness and integrity have helped us make real progress on some of the challenges affecting our city and country.

Thank you.

I don't seek to embarrass you or open you up to criticism and harassment by naming you or contacting you openly but it was important to me to try convey how grateful I am for what you did and how you helped.

Thank you. You are an inspiration. You will always have those who think highly of you.
