You came up to me at the bus stop and asked me if the #5 bus had gone by. I understood your question as whether or not I had change for a five dollar bill for the bus. When I responded that I didn't have any money on me, you interpreted my reply to mean that I understood your question to be that you were asking if I had five dollars to give you! You looked offended that I thought you were asking for money, and after I realized why you were offended it was too late to apologize for the confusion.
