I was just lamenting the loss of our mountie's the other day.
When i was a very young, little homeless girl ~ 13 ~ i remember the horse cops & how they interacted with me.
They knew my name, i knew their name. They gave me apples to feed the horses. We knew each other, & we had actual conversation. They walked with us & talked to us. And, while we always knew they were "cops", we also knew that they actually cared about us.
One guy, i can't remember his name, but i will always remember everytime i saw him on that horse, he was trying to talk me into school. He zeroed in on me, wherever i was, & he tried to convince me to go back to school.
i would never have had that interaction with cops in cars.

Also, I do not own a horse. I do, however, feel that they are a more beautiful creature than you.
Fuck this ~ i'm going to watch LotR. That is a superior world.
