Oh, good, are you taking all the other whiny fuckers with you? Good luck finding the Big Rock Candy Mountain!

I thought these were supposed to be anonymous. This person is clearly Old.

Portland didn't make it 100 degrees. It didn't conveniently forget about its railyard in the middle of downtown or its heroin shooting galleries and Gus Van Zant extras. It didn't invent tinder or force the entire country to do yoga. It also didn't make you stand on line at Salt & Straw. I hope life in Marin County, Olympia, Truckee or whatever place you think isn't growing works out for you, but my guess is that if you couldn't make it here -- in the city that functionally shuts down at 11 -- you aren't going to make it anywhere.

It's time to move on. That happened once home became overrun with self-important, effete and unaccomplished 20-30 year old children, curating their life to the interests and art all of us old people made that attracted them here so they could simultaneously wear Dead Moon shirts and talk about "olds" the way the asshole above does. I just wish I hadn't held onto love and nostalgia in the face of the sociopathic consumerist millenial takeover and moved my self, and my art, out of this hell long ago.

To #3 and OP I have on this to say: "Bye, Felicia."

only. Dammit.

I wish the person had started with "cares more about dogs than humans". Then I would have known not to bother reading the rest of the crap.

Must be nice to be able to try on a community when it suits you and then disregard it when it's no longer in fashion.

Please wait...
