My wife and I were driving through Fort Vancouver last weekend and first of all, I couldn't believe how many damn people were there! The place was freaking teeming with folks, but short story long, because I had a few cocktails with brunch, I was in the passenger seat and that gave me a chance to really observe the park visitors. One thing became immediately clear: 9 out of 10 people walking around were just staring at their phones. It looked like a scene from Night of the Living Dead. People of all different types, different ages, races, you name it all shuffling along slowly, heads down, completely absorbed with whatever the fuck it was they were doing on their phones, while ignoring their friends, children, spouses, the beautiful day outside and the very park they drove to visit. Unplug people!!!
