This is not about you. And it's not about other people's grandparents. You know full well that constantly complaining about this does not change it. You have two choices - stay inside and save lives (that's why Oregon has so few cases and so few deaths, while other states and cities are teeming with the sick and the dead). Staying inside and away from people saves lives. Period. Full stop.

Don't want to stay inside? Don't. Go outside. It can be done without interacting or going near other people. If you can't manage to do that, go out and see what going outside gets you. If you're lucky you only get fined. Or the following things could happen:

You get the virus (an illness for which there is no treatment and no cure). Become a vector (whether you know it or not). Get other people sick. Kill people. Die.

Seriously, the constant whining about having to remain inside is so fucked up. Every single person in this country, millions and millions of whom have lived through serious trauma and may be living with an abuser or experiencing trauma while staying home are all going through it "together." And the virus is killing everyone from newborn babies to teenagers to people in their 20s, 30s 40s, and 50s AND people 65 and older whether they are someone's grandparents or not. The virus does not care. And staying at home protects those who are most vulnerable the most. That includes you.

Call hotlines for support (depression, trauma, PTSD, anger management, abuse, etc.) You can find any resource you want online, available to you at no cost, and it just might save your life, save your sanity, and it definitely will be more productive than railing against that which you cannot cannot change and which you have convinced yourself is the only manner of coping with this crisis (a crisis affecting the entire world, btw).
