Recently my spouse’s employer, we’ll call them Specific Power or SpecifiCorp announced their intention to bring hundreds of employees back to the Lloyd Center corporate office starting September 21st. Do they know something that health experts don’t? Maybe the governors request to allow continued telecommuting whenever possible doesn’t apply to them. Or maybe, just maybe it’s because the executives want to push people with children or those worried about their safety to take a 10% pay cut to continue working from home. Does this unfairly impact single parents and working mothers? Nooooooooo, of course not. Clearly the head of the company is really concerned about all the employees and their families. I can see how after six months of successful remote work it just stops being efficient for everyone. Time to cull the herd and get some folks exposed to the virus!!
