And most of the cases? ASTORIA and they mostly people in their 20s, 30s. and 40s. Then there are all of the children under the age of 10. And children between the ages of 10 and 18. Of course there are still cases happening in people aged in their 50s and 60s. But we're not seeing cases of people in their 70s. 80s. or 90s.

Presumptive cases are being counted because not everyone gets tested. The severely ill get tested. If you've been exposed you get tested. If you have mild symptoms, you don't get tested.

This shit show is going to go on and on and because too many fucking people are behaving like there is no fucking problem. Over 100 cases at the Seafood processing plant in Warrenton alone (and that's just the employees - not the related cases of people who got sickened by the employees, but don't work there).

This virus does not give ONE FUCK about how bored you are or angry you are or tired you are or anything else. It will find and sicken and even kill you, if it has the chance. Period. This is a serious illness that if it does not kill you (and most people it does not kill) it causes long term health problems (you know, those pesky pre-existing conditions the Republicans want to make sure if anyone has they can't get health care insurance). There are long haulers - people who have gotten COVID-19 and never get better -they are sick for months and months and they will most likely never fully recover.

At the rate we're going we're looking at 300,000 dead by the election and 500,000 dead by the end of the year.

Every single bit of catastrophic destruction from all of those made sick, all who have died, all how have killed themselves (mostly health care workers overwhelmed with the horror show they've witnessed), every single job lost, every single person made homeless, every single person going hungry, every single bit of suffering, death, and destruction caused by this pandemic could have been prevented if Trump and his administration had not destroyed the pandemic response team, refused to care about COVID-19 being a serious, deadly, high communicable illness, and denied and lied to the entire country for months and months and months.

Originally Oregon was projected to have less than 3,000 cases and less than 200 deaths.
To date we have over 33,000 cases and nearly 600 deaths, with both cases and deaths RISING. it's not going to magically go away and it's not going to stop until ALL PEOPLE DO WHAT THEY NEED TO TO DO TO STOP THE SPREAD. There are just far too many people ignoring what needs to be done because they DGAF.
