Why are we debating whether or not someone committed a crime by using the threat of violence to interrupt and overthrow normal legal processes?

We already have a system to present the evidence and relevant laws to the public and make a decision together. Is it perfect? Absolutely not, that's why we will be endlessly advocating for reforms to make it more perfect. But it works and it's getting better, and most importantly it's a system to put the facts on the record so we can then examine and discuss how the process needs to be approved.

Did these sovereign citizen idiot insurrectionists really expect to inject guns and threats of violence in the situation and expect to get away with it scott-free?
