Corporations don't care. The same corporations that are promising to allow employees to travel to get abortions are the corporations that have donated millions and millions of dollars to anti-choice politicians. Relying on any kind of corporate welfare for one's human rights is a losing proposition. And there are corporations donating shit tons of money to anti-choice politicians in every state, including Oregon.

I can't travel. I live in Oregon. I do my best to only spend money with small businesses in this state or other blue states, but it is literally impossible. There is so much made in China and imported into this country there is truly no way to live without supporting huge corporations or other countries. I have never shopped at Wal*Mart. I won't buy anything or use any product from Amazon. But there is always a company one may believe is not giving money to politicians who want you to have no rights and then you find out they do. There is only one thing corporations care about and that is money. Anything they do for their image and positive PR is to ensure that they don't lose any money. Every single politician in this country from the smallest community to the President is bought and paid for by corporate interests. We live in a country where money determines everything.

What we need is to have our elected representatives to actually represent what the people want. For 50 years Democrats had the chance to ensure women's equality. They've done nothing, while Republicans have made it clear their sole agenda was to take away the rights of as many people as possible, because they want the 1800s back. They want white men to have all of the power and all of the money and for everyone else to simply be a slave - either performing all of the labor or spending all of their time in labor giving birth to more slaves. All they have to say is donate money to our campaigns and vote! So we've got Republicans who are literally destroying everything and Democrats who are literally doing nothing to stop them. There is no way for individuals in this country to win. This country has chosen obscene wealth, obscene greed, obscene white supremacist terrorism, and obscene misogyny as its values and ideals. This country is a death cult.

Boycotting won't work. What would work? Who knows. A 100% walkout of all labor and all bill paying might work. How long would it last? Would it cause less death than not doing it? No way to know because there is no way all of the people in this country will unite to leverage the only power they have, because it's an all or nothing proposition.
