During the police/federal agents riots during the summer and fall of 2020, Portland protesters showed their stamina, courage and grace in myriad ways. Despite police plants, rightwing cosplayers and some rageful street dwellers smashing windows, etc., the bulk of protesters were unified, creative and organized to keep the peace and help one another. Kudos to Mr. Olmos for documenting it all. Special thanks to the Wall of Moms and Dads With Leafblowers for making Trump and his minions look like fools. I'm sure the way Portland (including the mayor and our governor) was united against the fed over-reaction and attempt to shut the city down had an impact on the 2020 election. Trump's media tried to paint Portland as a shithole but it came out looking like a strong and purposeful place. We showed that all colors, races, and genders came together to announce that change is happening with or without the agreement of the elites and their watchdogs. Finally, thanks to Naked Athena for a brilliant zen moment that showed the cops can't confront Mother Nature—who simply won't be controlled by a fascist patriarchy.
