Ted doesn't care about public safety. The Rose Quarter I-5 and the SW Corridor MAX extension projects as proposed dramatically worsen traffic hazards. What Ted does care about is lucrative sardine can apartment block development these projects entail. Ted most certainly "lied" about rerouting I-5 under the Willamette River when the Marquam Bridge must be replaced. It's not possible nor a sensible idea if it were because the traffic hazards are off the chart. Ted wants developers to imagine the Marquam Bridge gone, leaving all that SW waterfront property to put up condo towers. Ka-ching!
