Doctors and nurses striking for weeks at the Sisters of Perpetual Misery hospital and I'm left with one thought. It doesn't bother me when I'm on the line and you drive by and flip me off. I feel sorry for you, that you somehow need to tell me "fuck you" and at some point later, will likely demand my own or my coworkers provide care for you. What bothers is that you either don't get it, or don't care. We don't have a healthcare system, we have a condition treatment system designed to have others profit at all of our extent. Be angry, but not that I'm standing up for your safety. Be angry, but not because I deserve to be treated and paid fairly. Be angry that someone else has turned you into a commodity to profit from, and intends to cut every corner, pinch every penny to do so.
