PTU is a complete fucking joke. If tenants can't pay rent, they are breaking the rental contract. If landlords don't provide a habitable rental, then the landlord is breaking the rental contract.

Is it "ransom" by the bank if the landlord misses a mortgage payment due to a tenant not paying their rent and initiating a foreclosure procedure?

Is it "ransom" for the electric company to turn off the juice if the customer doesn't pay their electrical bills? Is it "ransom" for a restaurant to insist a diner pay their check at the end of the meal instead of just getting up and walking out the door?
