so much for the will of the people, democracy, and state's rights. i guess for legal/tax purposes a gay couple should have the same rights as a straight couple. socially though a true marriage has and always will be the symbolization of the union of a mating male and female human. you can experiment with different combos all you want. but going against nature and society only tends to make things harder on yourself.
So even though I was married in a secular ceremony with no religious figures involved with no intention whatsoever of propagating DNA, that should have also been an invalid marriage?
Hell I am a bigger threat to marriage because I divorced.
What about infertile couples, or people that marry after menopause?
Socially marriage has always been about treating women as property, which you probably still wish existed you troglodyte.
At least people like you get it out of the way that you are a bigot fairly quickly, so I know I can avoid you in the future.

the Mercury isn't gay...it's heterophobic. but i guess there's not much difference. btw, i love the gays. they are great interior designers, superb baristas, and magnificent liberal periodical writers.
huh, you must've been the wife sold for a couple old goats. sounds like your divorce has disenchanted you over the concept. may i suggest more forethought & consideration in choosing your mate? everyone has the right to get married, just marry someone of the opposite sex. i'm not bigoted , i just like to play by nature's rules. people with any type of dysfunction should focus their energy towards correcting their weakness to help them become as strong a member of the pack as they can be. if i was to worship a god his name would be Darwin. these are just my opinions, i don't force them on anyone. if you don't like it then get over it. you can avoid me all you want.
Of course, you'll probably dismiss all of this as "liberal propaganda" but I thought it's worth a shot. You should peruse the list of sources for some good reading material as well.
